Shane is a well regarded and respected consultant who has worked in Melbourne’s Commercial and Industrial real estate marketplace for over 35 years. He is a Fellow member of the Australian Property Institute; a former member on the Property Council of Australia (PCA’s) Industrial, Infrastructure and Logistics Committee; a Licenced Estate Agent and REIV member.
His property career has predominantly been as a client focused consultant, working as a valuer, transaction manager and advisor.
His employment history, prior to his 13 years at Urbis, included a major property group in a transaction role, a major real estate agency in a sales/leasing and management role, and other consultant roles as a valuer/manager.
Shane prides himself on developing strong client relationships, ensuring client confidentiality, utilising his strong technical skills and ultimately being a consultant who is reliable and trustworthy.
Shane’s role at Urbis has him leading many national appointments and interstate engagements regularly working with Urbis’ Planning, Design, Heritage, Transport, Spatial teams where these resources contribute to the best outcome for our clients.
Shane’s project experience includes:
- Transaction Management – Corporate Sell Side – Undertake presale Vendor DD, seek agency submissions, recommend and appoint agents, prepare Business Case approval report, direct final negotiations and lawyer engagement, conclude transaction. Applicable for a number of national assets ranging from circa $3M to $50M.
- Transaction Advisory – Appointed Real Estate Advisor on a number of Australian Ports, including Transaction advisor and valuer roles.
- Market Research – Research report on Melbourne’s Industrial Land Supply at the instruction of the Property Council of Australia.
- Market Research – Research report on Melbourne’s Industrial Land Supply in VIC and NSW to inform the acquisition strategy for an International Industrial Developer.
- Market Research – Research report on the CBD, Docklands and Fringe Office Markets to inform development decision making and feasibility analysis for a circa 30,000m² proposed office development.
- Financial Feasibility and Recommendations – Preparing detailed market research and analysis to inform the financial feasibility / viability for a Commercial Office development in Southbank including detailed competition, time to market and tenant sector demand analysis.
