Mark Kuhne is a celebrated designer and landscape architect with experience in Australia, China, the Middle East and the UK. He is especially renowned for his community-centric public realm design, contextually responsive landscape architecture and environmentally sensitive infrastructure planning.

Within the Urbis National Design Studio, Mark is a mentor and design leader, contributing his infrastructure and landscape design skills to successful national and international design competitions and projects.

Among the highlights of Mark’s career are his award-winning efforts leading complex, large-scale public domain projects such as Dublin Light Rail in Ireland, the Cairo Downtown Revitalisation Master Plan in Egypt, The Wave multi-use development near Muscat in Oman, and Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. Closer to home, he has led Urbis’ public domain work on the revitalisation of Macquarie Mall and Bigge Park, high profile civic places in Liverpool City Centre, the Newcastle Light Rail project, Rhodes Community Precinct, Sydney Science Park and Queen’s Wharf in Brisbane.
