Urbis’ work on the revitalisation of Wagga Wagga’s Riverside waterfront exhibits the firm’s multidisciplinary expertise across Urban Design and Landscape Architecture, and has created a master plan that reinforces the relationship between the Murrumbidgee River and the City.

Urbis has developed a concept master plan unique to Wagga Wagga and is focused on creating an iconic recreation and cultural destination with a strong connection with the beach and riverside and aims to activate and attract increased visitation.

Through community consultation, The revitalised Wagga Wagga Riverside Park celebrates the heritage landmarks, its context, and celebrates public realm and city liveability.

The proposal creates a series of programmed spaces including bandstand, outdoor stage, water play and adventure play spaces, riverside foreshore plaza, fitness circuits and open expanses of lawn for large community gatherings.
The Park will be event ready, with a base line infrastructure for events and activates more areas of the park with programs for both day and night time use.

Creating a series of engaging spaces that reflect and compliment Wagga Wagga’s Local Riverside Setting and Heritage Curtilage.
