One Sydney is two towers – a 185-metre residential tower beside a 110-metre world-class hotel – rising out of 1,404 square metres of open space and laneways on a prime site at Circular Quay.
Urbis worked with the City of Sydney and the NSW Government to gain planning approval for the $1 billion development planned by the global Dalian Wanda Group. The project will change the face of Sydney with its new standard of hotel and residential accommodation. One Sydney creates a place, not two new towers; with its network of surrounding lanes and public spaces, it is re-imagining Circular Quay.

Sophisticated market analysis complemented urban design in generating the vision for One Sydney, and Urbis had to navigate a complex pathway to planning approval. Approval has now been secured, and Urbis has just completed the competitive design process. Our team is working with the winner, Kengo Kuma and Crone, on the next stage of this iconic development.
