25 King is the second office building to be delivered as part of the urban regeneration of the Brisbane Showgrounds. The building encompasses revolutionary building timber technology called cross laminated timber (CLT) and glulum (glue laminated timber) which has a structural strength akin to traditional concrete and steel.
The building is located prominently on King Street, which is the centrepiece of the evolution of the Brisbane Showgrounds as a mixed-use destination for Brisbane. Urbis has continued our decade long partnership with Lendlease on the Brisbane Showgrounds through facilitating town planning approval for the 25 King project.
When completed, the 45 metre high building will be the tallest engineered timber building in the world, and the first such building to be completed within Queensland.
