The Property Economics and Insights Research team were commissioned by AMP Capital to undertake research for Quay Quarter Sydney to help confirm the optimum offer and potential outcomes for the retail and co-working components of this transformative project. As a gateway location to the Sydney CBD, this project has city shaping at its heart.

The research comprised the following:

  • Assessment of economic performance potential informed by the retail demand assessment, scheme assessments and a combination of local and international case studies
  • An extensive customer research program to obtain a deep understanding of customer by market segment including workers, residents and tourists to provide direction on retail, design and place elements
  • Interviews with Executive property decision-makers to identify critical features for a world-class commercial address.

The research identified key strengths of the plan to leverage, and addresses weaknesses to mitigate risks in the external environment.
