The 108 steps linking Kent Street to Observatory Hill are the finest surviving example of stairs and have a group significance of visual, historic and ecological values.
Urbis provided architectural services, including the inspection of the steps and the preparation of a report on maintenance and conservation. The properties are individually state listed heritage items and under the Millers Point Heritage Conservation Area. In accordance with the statutory obligation under the State Heritage Act, the report was prepared to comply with minimum standards of maintenance and repair under the Heritage Act.
