Urbis is thrilled to announce the Director appointment of Bruce Colman, a highly regarded urban planner bringing over 25 years of experience in managing complex planning projects.
Bruce is a qualified Town Planner with expertise in large scale greenfield development, strategic planning and major land rezoning, with a keen interest in the Western Sydney Infrastructure Strategy and the Missing Middle.
As the former Director of Land Release at the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment, Bruce has an immense passion for creating new, sustainable communities, particularly in the land release areas of Western Sydney.
He believes there is a real opportunity to plan for infrastructure ahead of growth as can be seen in the implementation of the Aerotropolis Land Use and Infrastructure Implementation Plan.
“Sydney has recently witnessed some great initiatives in relation to Strategic Planning and setting the framework for growth. We can now see the Greater Sydney Commission’s wider vision and District Plans being translated into Precinct Plans,” Bruce said.
