The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore ran a 5-day executive program that serves to seed progressive, long-term thinking on city planning and development. Cistri and Urbis were pleased to lend their expertise to the program. 

Cityshapers Peter Hyland, James Tuma and Rahul Mittal joined other leading experts from around the world in exploring innovations and strategies to foster urban excellence. 

Cistri Regional Director Peter Hyland joined the program on day one, ‘An introduction to inclusive citymaking’ and shared his expertise on urbanisation trends, and liveable and competitive cities.

Directors Rahul Mittal and James Tuma brought their design and planning expertise to the course on day two: ‘The Art & Science of Citymaking: Planning & Design Strategies’.

James drew on his broad expertise as a cityshaper to share insights on strategies for city making through placemaking, design and urban regeneration. He also ran a session on competitiveness and managing urban change.

Rahul’s expertise on Transit Oriented Development came to the fore as he presented his insights on Singapore infrastructure as a catalyst for urban transformation. 

Rahul will be presenting at the UDIA Congress 2018: See the Now. Alongside Neal Payton of Torti Gallas, he’ll be sharing international insights on New Urbanism: Creating healthy, productive, affordable and sustainable communities
