Peter Hyland is one of the Asia-Pacific’s most respected urban land-use strategists.

He has led large multidisciplinary teams on projects including inner city renewal and new city developments, major port and airport master plans, and resort and shopping centre developments. Peter’s experience spans Australia, the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. He has postgraduate qualifications in urban planning and economics.

Peter is passionate about helping cities and projects achieve great economic outcomes, to underpin the development of vibrant and successful places that benefit developers, users and residents. His ability to marry economic and planning considerations has made him a trusted advisor to major Australian private and public companies and all levels of government.

Peter has led many projects to successful outcomes, including the Greater Springfield new city development in Queensland, which was recognised as the world’s best master planned community by FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, in 2010; the Urban Renewal Brisbane rejuvenation project; and a major transit-oriented development in North Ryde, Sydney.

Cities are my passion. Making sure they are economically successful helps make them socially and culturally successful – and wonderful places for people to enjoy.
