We are delighted to welcome Graham Hazelwood to the Urbis team in South East Queensland.

Bringing with him over 15 years of experience as a Commercial Property Valuer, Graham has joined us this week working across our Gold Coast and Brisbane offices, strengthening our national capability across the tourism, leisure, hospitality and hotel sectors.

A Gold Coast local, Graham brings a broad range of experience and extends our capability in ‘going concern’ valuations and advice in the hotel, tourism, build-to-rent, Purpose Built Student Accommodation, and land lease residential markets.

Graham’s appointment is an important step for us to be able to meet the needs of our broader hospitality and tourism clients in SEQ as activity and investment ramp up for the 2032 Olympic Games.

As well as his technical capability, Graham brings significant leadership qualities developed over the course of his career. A recent key project he has worked on is the Sippy Downs Bower Tree – a $25 million build delivering a dynamic space for the community.

Director, Paul Riga, noted “The 2032 Olympic Games will be a unique opportunity for our region, with significant emphasis on new hotels, venues, and other tourism-related facilities in the lead-up. Graham’s appointment and his skill and knowledge across the sector significantly enhance our collaborative capability to advise our clients on the optimal development and investment opportunities.”

“I am delighted to have joined Urbis and add to the already broad skill set and experience of the team. I’m excited for the opportunity to start up the tourism and leisure valuations business in Queensland and am looking forward to working with new and existing clients, as well as major lenders.”
