Stockland’s Oceanside community is one of Australia’s most carefully planned new communities with homes, employment, health services, business, shopping, entertainment and tourism all in the one vibrant location.
A diverse range of living options is provided throughout the community, from premium lakefront homes to urban terraces, townhomes and modern apartments. The well designed and controlled built-form has changed the perception of small-lot living and provides choice for people who didn’t know they needed it.
Designed to become ‘Australia’s healthiest city by the beach’, outdoor activity is encouraged, and the health and wellbeing of residents is a priority. More than 50% of the community is comprised of parks, conservation areas, wetlands and Lake Kawana itself. An extensive network of waterfront uninterrupted walkways, bikeways, boardwalks and bridges connect residents and visitors to local beaches and parkland, sporting venues, transport, centres and services.
Urbis has worked with Stockland for 15 years across all stages of delivery for this $5 billion community project, including urban design, landscape architecture and property economics. Our role from visioning through to construction ensured best practice principles and innovation are built in. Our team also led the comprehensive master planning and customer analysis process for this community which has underpinned the product strategy and resulting design outcomes.
“Oceanside won the 2020 National UDIA Award for Best Master Planned Development and it’s not hard to see why. It’s contemporary, diverise, vibrant and an incredibly liveable community.
