Chisholm is a brand-new residential community planned for Maitland. The community has received long-awaited news of a new state-of-the-art shopping centre approval after the site has sat vacant since 2012.
Over the past 20 years, Urbis has shaped Chisholm from agricultural land into a thriving residential community anchored by a new neighbourhood town centre. We provided planning, including urban and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), expertise to Revelop to guide the Development Application approval for Chisholm Plaza.
With expected completion in 2024, the town centre will deliver 15,000m2 lettable area including dual supermarket anchors, 40 speciality retailers, 112 place early education centre, swim school, gym, medical/allied health care facilities, cafes, and a tavern to support the growing community.
We have been involved in this site since the original owners rezoned the new suburb, as the key strategic advisor. Preparing the necessary rezoning applications, site specific DCPs and major DA’s; achieving the rezoning of the site for some 2,500 lots, a school, and a neighbourhood shopping centre.
Construction will commence in April 2023 for the new shopping centre, which is a milestone for the local community and our team given the long history.
