Urbis helped Melbourne Girls Grammar win planning approval to build its state-of-the-art Physical Performance and Health Centre at its Merton Hall campus in South Yarra.

Architectural firm BVN designed the centre, which the school is building to encourage students to integrate health and wellbeing into all aspects of school life. Like many schools, Melbourne Girls Grammar needs to constantly modernise its facilities, but works must be in keeping with the school’s surroundings. In this case, our planning expertise was invaluable as the school has significant heritage buildings and is close to the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Urbis collaborated with the school, the City of Melbourne, BVN and project consultants to gain approval for the space.
