Urbis has been the planning consultant for Loreto Mandeville Hall for over 15 years. Through our partnership, we have brought to life a master plan to modernise the school’s facilities.

One of these facilities is the Mandeville Centre, a central hub of activity within the school. The Centre houses the school’s administration and staff centres, a lecture theatre, Learning Resource Centre, Year 12 Centre and a basement level car park.

Our thorough master planning process and commitment to consultations with key stakeholders, meant we obtained Council approval for the Centre extremely quickly – an exceptional outcome given the development’s proximity to Heritage buildings and natural surroundings. Urbis worked with architecture firm Architectus to sensitively overcome the planning parameters of trees, significant Heritage buildings and other development constraints.

The quality of the Mandeville Centre’s design and its integration with its surroundings makes it an exceptional addition to the school. The Centre received a Victorian Architecture award for education architecture.
