The Brisbane Showgrounds, home to the Royal Queensland Show since 1876, plays a significant role in the history and culture of Brisbane and Queensland. The precinct is undergoing transformation in accordance with a Master Plan prepared by Urbis.

Our team worked on repositioning the Brisbane Showgrounds, showcasing the firm’s town planning expertise in successfully delivering large scale urban generation projects.

The development has seen the showgrounds emerge as a vibrant year-round destination for the first time in its history, through the delivery of new public spaces and mixed-use development, along with new and upgraded conference and event facilities. Following the Master Plan, our town planners worked closely with Lendlease throughout the project to successfully deliver development approvals to realise the vision of the Master Plan.

The outcomes facilitated by our master plan will see the precinct continue to evolve as more people live, work and visit the showgrounds.

The development has seen the showgrounds emerge as a vibrant year-round destination for the first time in its history.
