Following acquisition of the site in 2017, Spotlight Property engaged our planning team to guide the planning approval process for a bulky goods retail centre in Bennetts Green (15km south of Newcastle).
The centre includes a Bunnings warehouse, several bulky goods retail tenancies for Spotlight, Anaconda, Nick Scali, Harris Scarfe, together with take away food and drink premises and a BP service station.
The complex planning process was successfully managed by Urbis over four years, and included 17 separate approvals of varying scale and complexity. Our team is proud to have worked on the largest retail development in Lake Macquarie’s recent history, providing activation of a previously dormant site, while also while delivering approximately 200 ongoing jobs for the local community.
