Baptcare approached Urbis with an ageing planning approval but needing to undertake various amendments to meet current market demands.
Urbis was able to negotiate with Council a suite of complex amendments and simultaneous standalone approvals to recreate a suite of independent living apartments and units better suited to the client and future resident needs. This was achieved through a collaborative approach with Council, also working closely with CHT Architects and the broader project team.
The approval sees a cohesive community of residential aged care, independent living, and community facilities such as wellbeing centre, lounge, café / restaurant, and other activity buildings around a landscaped pedestrian spine.
