Urbis is supporting the delivery of four significant wind farm projects in Western Australia. This work draws on Urbis’ successful planning approval of the King Rocks Wind Farm in Kondinin and strengthens our corporate commitment to helping Australia transition to net zero by 2050.

Four wind farm projects are being developed by Green Wind Renewables and Aula Energy, a portfolio company of Macquarie Asset Management. The wind farms, which are all located in the Wheatbelt region, are expected to total up to 2.4 gigawatts (GW), contributing significantly to the States wind power supply.

Urbis is proud to be involved in the development of over 3GW of wind/solar and battery projects nationwide.

Urbis, with lead consultant AECOM Energy, has been appointed to manage the Heritage and Planning Services for the wind farms. Urbis is working closely with key stakeholders including the recognised traditional owner groups and knowledge holders for each of the four windfarms.  Urbis will undertake planning approvals, and, seek heritage approvals (where appropriate) to help Green Wind Renewables and Aula Energy create and redefine renewable energy infrastructure in Western Australia.

This current project builds on Urbis’ national expertise in assisting clients in achieving approvals for renewable energy facilities across Australia. Urbis is proud to be involved in the development of over 3GW of wind/solar and battery projects nationwide.
