In a true boon for the self storage sector, the current June 2021 release of the Urbis Storage Index confirms the stability and strength of the sector during one of the most economically turbulent in history.

The market has displayed positive increases to all core market metrics across all localities, in all but one minor exception. These consumer metrics continue to support the aggressive investment metrics displayed in the market, and unlike many sectors, consumer metrics are not trending counter-cyclical.

The rapid growth displayed over the year is returning many locations to a level of parity with the traditional strong and stable markets and positions them well for the year ahead. Urbis is pleased to present the results of the June 2021 Urbis Storage Index.

The data in this report relates to the six months from December 2020 to June 2021.
