The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is one of Queensland’s most prominent regional university’s and has been established since 1967. Starting out as a single campus university, today USQ operates over four campus models, each with their own unique characteristics and growth opportunities.

Urbis have recently completed the master planning for three of its major physical campuses – Toowoomba, Ipswich and Springfield in Queensland.

The USQ Master Plan provides a comprehensive framework and long-term strategy to guide the future development of each of the individual campuses and their assets. It sets out a progressive and future focused vision, along with supporting principles and strategies that will guide the meaningful development of the USQ brand, as well as the physical development of each of the individual campuses.

The master plan has been developed in response to a number of core objectives, and addresses current and future global education trends as well addressing the impacts and pressures that COVID-19 has had on the tertiary sector and student profile.
