Centrally located, Fish Lane strategically connects South Brisbane and the West End cultural precinct.
As part of the development approval of The Melbourne Residences, Urbis helped Aria Property Group to provide a cross-block link from Melbourne Street to Fish Lane. This enabled the creation of an exciting mix of restaurants, bars and cafes on the ground floor, located on Melbourne Street and in the rear of Fish Lane connected via an arcade through the mezzanine within the residential development.
Under the South Brisbane neighbourhood plan, Council encouraged the spaces and the laneway itself to be activated, renewing the heritage precinct.
