Each year, Family Safety Victoria funds a diverse range of projects led by Aboriginal community controlled organisations. The Aboriginal Community Initiatives Fund provides grants for organisations that prevent, reduce and respond to family violence in Aboriginal communities across Victoria.
Urbis and our partners Cox Inall Ridgeway and Karen Milward Consulting (both Aboriginal-owned and led businesses) worked with FSV to help them understand the impact of the program.
We also shared our team’s program development and evaluation expertise with funded organisations by providing tools and templates, workshops and one-on-one coaching support to measure and reflect on impact.
The work has left a positive legacy of enhanced impact measurement capability in the many community organisations we supported, and led to our client being recognised with the 2022 ‘Leading Funder in Social Impact Measurement’ from the Social Impact Measurement Network of Australia.
