The Australian Turf Club (ATC) has a broad portfolio of racecourses and sites throughout Greater Sydney, including the Royal Randwick Racecourse, an iconic destination and one of the largest recreation areas in the highly urbanised eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Since 2011, we have supported ATC with various State Significant Development Applications (SSDAs) and Local Development Applications (DAs) for the Royal Randwick Racecourse (RRR), as well as strategic advice and preparation of government proposals on land use policy.

Our experience on this site includes obtaining development consent for a comprehensive concept plan for the Spectator Precinct, detailed SSDAs for a new grandstand, hotel, stable facilities and an Equine Barn, public works and infrastructure upgrades. In addition to various sporting, entertainment and leisure events, including a commercial skydiving operation at the racecourse.

We have also helped ATC secure rezoning at the RRR for additional permitted uses, including a hotel, serviced apartments and a function centre, to ensure the ongoing primacy of this site and to respond to the diversity of the racing industry.
