Urbis coordinated a multi-disciplinary team to prepare a State-wide draft Precinct Design Policy for the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.
Forming part of the Design WA suite, the policy will guide design for areas that require a high level of planning and design because of their complexity, due to mixed use components, higher levels of density, an activity centre designation, character/heritage and the like.
Drawing on our multi-disciplinary expertise, Urbis coordinated and contributed a range of inputs (internal and external) that included: planning, design, landscape, property economics, heritage, architecture, transport and servicing.
Urbis also coordinated two industry workshops as well as one-one interviews and focus groups to inform policy and achieve stakeholder buy-in.
The result was a draft Precinct Design Policy that will be further tested and refined with industry prior to wider community consultation.
