Women NSW piloted a series of Men’s Behaviour Change Programs for domestic violence offenders
or those at risk of offending.

Urbis worked closely with the program designers to develop the performance and monitoring framework, informed by our evidence review of Australian and international literature on measuring efficacy in community-based Men’s Behaviour Change Programs. The opportunity to contribute evaluative thinking at the program design phase strengthened its design and implementation.

Specifically, we brought forward elements of the most effective models, practice and policy that could be applied to collect data, and to consider what contribution the activity has made to any outcomes. Our work also involved significant consultation with the four providers based across NSW and the project reference group.

We supported Women NSW in developing a performance and monitoring framework to evaluate the success of an investment in men’s behaviour change programs for domestic violence offenders or those at risk of offending.
