Urbis integrated approach to assisting Lightsource BP to obtain development consent for their first solar farm in Australia highlighted our ability to lead and manage the complex environmental approval process for key infrastructure.
Lightsource BP sought to capitalise on the booming renewables energy market by developing and operating their first solar farm in Australia on a site chosen by them in Naring in Victoria’s north.
Utilising our extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and design, Urbis provided due diligence and strategic advice to assist Lightsource BP in undertaking stakeholder engagement and preparing the reports required for the permit application, project managing this through to its completion and subsequent approval via VCAT, where Urbis assisted with planning, design and expert advice in issues such as visual impact, setbacks and bushfire mitigation.
Urbis were proud our one stop shop approach was able to assist with the transition Victoria’s energy mix to a cleaner, greener future.
