Amalgamated in 2016, Georges River is a growing and diverse community, bringing together the former Kogarah City and Hurstville City Council areas.
To be able to continue providing high quality children’s services in a sustainable way, Council was seeking a performance review to help identify improvements to its service delivery and operations. As a recently amalgamated Council, an important objective was development of a consistent service delivery model for Georges River.
We were delighted to partner with Council to undertake a review of their children’s services.
“As a recently amalgamated Council, an important objective was development of a consistent service delivery model for Georges River.
We worked closely with Council staff to prepare a solid evidence base which included benchmarking and competitor analysis, service gap provision, financial analysis and engagement with staff, other councils and the community. The study provided recommendations that will assist Georges River Council to continue providing affordable, high quality care for its community and to be leaders and advocates of best practice, contemporary children’s services.
