The City Tattersalls Club redevelopment takes a holistic design approach that harmoniously merges a new mixed-use club, Hotel and Residential tower above with the existing heritage buildings. With Urbis’ Heritage advice, it will retain and conserve three heritage items and incorporate conservation of the building facades and restoration of significant interiors.
Urbis authored a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for the site and undertook extensive workshops with the City of Sydney Council, which were integral to the approval of the Stage 1 Concept DA, establishing the tower envelope.
We subsequently provided heritage advice and detailed reporting including preparing a Heritage Impact Statement, Interpretation Strategy and Schedule of Conservation Works in conjunction with the Stage 2 DA, lodged in 2021. Working closely with the consultant team, including podium architects FJMT and BVN, winners of the International Design Competition for the tower, our team will ensure the heritage value of this Pitt Street site is upheld.
“This redevelopment cements the future for the club and introduces a dynamic and sophisticated tower to the Sydney Skyline.
