A 51-storey building proposed for seven contiguous lots towards the southern end of Surfers Paradise, 26 Vista will make a significant contribution to the local skyline.
The site has been largely vacant since 2014 despite having previously been approved for a large-scale mixed-use development. Our client acquired the site knowing the previous development approval did not represent a feasible project. Urbis was engaged as part of the project team to help conceive of a project worthy of the site’s location at the doorstep of the Northcliffe light rail station.
The 280 apartments comprising the development will make a significant contribution to housing supply on the Gold Coast, in a time of critical shortage. Sustainability elements such as proposed solar panels and roof-top garden add to the development’s functionality. The yield also maximises the contribution the site can make to sustainable patronage of the G:Link light rail service, with the benefit of less congestion on the heavily-trafficked local road network.
