Sarah Horsfield is a town planner with a twist – she has a post-graduate degree in environmental law, which she uses to spot risks.

This qualification gives Sarah an edge during the planning process. She not only has a holistic view of the physical, social and economic elements of a project, she is able to highlight potential legal issues and look for solutions. Since joining Urbis in 2005, Sarah has managed major and complex urban, regional and coastal projects – including state significant developments – for government and corporate clients. She has strong project management skills and provides valuable insights into the forces that drive markets.

Sarah has gained approval for a mixed-use development at Wolli Creek in Sydney. She has also prepared development applications for AMP Capital’s mixed use redevelopment of the Macquarie Centre and Taronga Zoo’s state significant works, including for a Sumatran tiger exhibit, a new research and education facility and an ecotourism facility.

I love working in such a dynamic industry, where I am focused on promoting good development that will help shape our cities and deliver new homes, jobs and public spaces.
