Ilona is an experienced Heritage Advisor and archaeologist with extensive experience as a project manager across the private and public sector. She has worked in the heritage sector in Queensland, the ACT, Tasmania, South Australian and Victoria and has extensive experience in a wide range of heritage management legislative and policy frameworks. With a deep and broad experience working with Traditional Owners and Custodians in a variety of roles, Ilona believes these relationships are foundational for best practice heritage management in Australia. Ilona has undertaken heritage projects across a wide variety of sectors including residential, utilities, infrastructure, transport infrastructure, rail projects, mining and renewables. She has managed and written Aboriginal Heritage Assessment, Cultural Heritage Management Plans, Due Diligence Assessments, Preliminary Aboriginal Heritage Tests, Aboriginal and Historic Heritage Assessments, and has broad experience in the supervision and management of survey, excavation and artefact analysis.
