Richard brings rich local knowledge and extensive global experience in over 18 separate jurisdictions across Asia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. Former Director and Global Head of Economics at Macquarie Group, Richard played an integral role in the organisation’s international expansion and growth over a tenure of 21 years.

Richard has made a business of keeping a finger on the pulse of international economic and social trends and applying the lessons learnt to the Australian market.

With connections to senior policymakers both domestically and overseas, Richard has worked in the private and public sector and also possesses a passion for creating change and making a difference with the work that he does.

Richard is a long-standing supporter of Youth Off the Streets and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors. Richard is also a Senior Advisory Board Member – Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies at The Australian National University and a Lead Mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs at Fintech Accelerator hub Stone & Chalk.
