Urbis is delighted to help the West Coast Eagles Football Club secure planning approval for their new training and administration facility at Lathlain Park, Perth.

Our WA Planning and Landscape Architecture teams successfully managed this complex and contentious project to assist our client in managing the community engagement and statutory processes.

We worked as part of a diverse team – which included among others Populous, NS Projects and Flyt – to achieve a great result for the client and the community.

This project is the centre piece of the broader Lathlain Park regeneration, which will provide great facilities, improved amenity and greater community access.

The Lathlain Precinct Redevelopment is part of the Town of Victoria Park’s strategic community plan, in partnership with the West Coast Eagles and the Perth Football Club, which aims to set new standards in the delivery of an active community sports complex and substantial community benefits to the people of Lathlain, and the broader community.

The project has reached a key milestone, with the delivery of a state-of-the-art facility that will contribute to the broader regeneration of Lathlain. The Lathlain training facility will also be home to the Wirrpanda Foundation, which aims to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians across our three pillars of education, employment and health.

Urbis WA Regional Director Ray Haeren is thrilled with the result, and says that “Urbis is pleased and proud to have worked with the West Coast Eagles in gaining approval for their new facility at Lathlain Park.”

“This project is the centre piece of the broader Lathlain Park regeneration, which will provide great facilities, improved amenity and greater community access,” he said.
