Urbis Chief Economist Nicki Hutley joined Channel Seven’s Weekend Sunrise on Saturday to discuss housing affordability following the release of the CEDA Housing Australia report.
Nicki, along with Sunrise presenters Monique Wright and Andrew O’Keefe, and CEDA Director Dr Rodney Maddock, deliberated CEDA’s findings. The issue of housing affordability is not new, it is a long-term problem, which requires long-term action and new planning models.
Sydney’s housing affordability problem is more advanced than other capital cities. However, rather than just talking about housing affordability, we also need to focus on how we deliver affordable housing and embrace higher-density living.
