Urbis helped the City of South Perth undertake a visioning process to guide future activation and improvement of the South Perth Foreshore. The result was the ‘South Perth Foreshore 2013 and Beyond’ strategy and master plan. The strategy was delivered through
a collaborative process jointly led by ourselves and the City of South Perth involving multiple agencies and contributors.

We successfully consulted with stakeholders such as the Sir James Mitchell Park and community advisory groups, the Swan River Trust, indigenous groups, local businesses, schools and the wider community. Urbis also engaged with the City to facilitate interim activation activities which included coffee carts, temporary sculptures, outdoor cinema and water play elements.

We have now delivered the first stage of implementation works, which has enhanced and enlivened foreshore around the Mends Street Jetty.

The South Perth Foreshore Strategy outlines a clear vision that will lead to a vibrant and exciting foreshore destination for Perth.
