Urbis obtained planning approval from the Central Sydney Planning Committee for a Concept Proposal for four mixed use buildings on Sites 8C, 8D, 19A and 19B, Green Square Town Centre. The Proposal will feature approximately 515 dwellings, 2200sqm of retail floor space and 1800sqm of commercial floor space.

The Concept DA was approved for the following:

  • Establishing building envelopes ranging in height from 4 to 24 storeys, design parameters, land uses and the provision of car parking; and
  • The distribution of floor space.

The site will play a very significant role in realising the vision for a new Town Centre, being a residential, commercial, retail and cultural centre for the rapidly growing Green Square Urban Renewal Area. The City of Sydney anticipates that upon completion, the Town Centre will have the potential to accommodate approximately 6,800 residents and 8,600 workers, creating a new village hub for the southern areas of Sydney LGA.

Urbis is assisting Mirvac and Landcom to deliver a large part of the new Green Square Town Centre, awarded a 6 star Green Star – Communities rating.
