Urbis’ work helping Meriton gain stage-one development consent for its multi billion-dollar Pagewood redevelopment illustrates our excellence in urban renewal master planning and approval strategy.

British American Tobacco Australia (BATA) sold the 10 hectares of surplus land at its Sydney site to Meriton, which is building 2,200 apartments in a master planned precinct that will include public parks, retail stores, childcare facilities and upgraded roads.

Urbis’ work helping Meriton gain stage-one development consent for its multi billion-dollar Pagewood redevelopment illustrates our excellence in urban renewal master planning and approval strategy.

Drawing on our expertise in urban and strategic planning, and social infrastructure, Urbis provided strategic advice that helped Meriton prepare planning reports for the Botany Bay Council and eventually the NSW Land and Environment Court. We also advised on negotiating contribution arrangements. When the Court heard the application, Urbis provided expert evidence on issues such as building density and heights, and contribution arrangements – helping Meriton gain approval for its master plan.

The new precinct Urbis has helped plan will be a haven for young and growing families who want attractive green spaces close to the amenities and public transport.
