Urbis worked with a major corporate client to develop an asset strategy for 2 separate data centre complexes that were challenged with both capacity and potential reliability constraints. In first understanding the operational and financial requirements of our client, and then overlaying our understanding of the asset, we developed and managed the implementation of a $115m investment program that refurbished the existing centres and built to two new Data Centres in Melbourne.
Urbis provided a full lifecycle service from a strategic review determining a viable long term masterplan, assisting in obtaining necessary board approvals, through to being Project Director responsible for delivery of two major projects in a live critical operations environment.
This redevelopment project delivered the client improved operational efficiency of infrastructure and increased capacity.
