Urbis has helped to establish a new community on one of Perth’s most idyllic beaches through its work on the Cockburn Coast development, south of Fremantle.
In 2014, LandCorp engaged Urbis to establish the Public Realm Design Guidelines, which set design parameters for the various precincts within the site and identified opportunities to enrich the development’s design and liveability. Urbis considered a range of factors when developing the guidelines – everything from public transport networks, wayfinding strategies, public artwork and open spaces to honour the site’s agricultural history and rehabilitating the precious coastline.
Consulting closely with LandCorp, Urbis collated the work of previous consultants and enriched the overall vision for the development through the Public Realm Design Guidelines.
