The project involves redevelopment of a large and previously underutilised site within 2.5km of the Brisbane CBD and 200m of the Bowen Hills train station. Located within the rapidly evolving and strategically important area of Bowen Hills, the Campbell Street project champions a build-to-rent model which will strengthen housing choice and affordability for the area.
Urbis provided our expert town planning services to guide the project from concept design through to achieving development approval with Economic Development Queensland. The development will deliver 380 apartments and is planned to be one of the first developments of this scale to implement a build-to-rent model in Brisbane.
The development will include 200 bicycle parking spaces, with the design set to achieve a 4-star Green Rating. Build-to-rent housing will provide housing options for key workers in the Bowen Hills area, with the site being within close proximity to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and other large institutions.
“This development will deliver 380 affordable apartments and is expected to be one of the first developments of this scale to implement the Build-to-Rent model in Brisbane.
