In 2015, Urbis was engaged to help private investors develop an investment strategy and rationalisation plan for their property portfolio.

We developed a targeted investment strategy and used our networks to search for a site for the supermarket. Through our network we found a recently closed down neighbourhood shopping centre, soon to be demolished, which the owners were planning to redevelop into a new Coles supermarket.  We approached the developer, Australand with an indicative offer and negotiated the acquisition on an off-market basis. We took care of term sheets, contracts, and pricing and development agreements.

Once the land contract was finalised, we oversaw all aspects of construction, tenant fit-out, and the opening in February 2016. Using our deep market knowledge and strong relationships in the industry, we uncovered unique investment and development opportunities for investors.
