Urbis has recently assisted Visionary Investment Group to secure approval for one of the largest residential redevelopments in Sydney’s inner south.
Pagewood is only 8kms from Sydney CBD and is in close proximity to open space, universities, beaches and Eastlakes, which makes it very attractive for urban renewal projects.
The site was previously used for industrial purposes and was heavily contaminated. Urbis worked closely with the project team to create an innovative design solution which minimised the need for excavation, but also carefully managed and sleeved car parking delicately with landscaping to create a high-quality outcome with minimal excavation.
The planning approval process was very challenging, with strong local interest in the project which required close collaboration with Bayside Council to achieve the desired outcome.
Urbis is currently working with VIC on a proposal for a new child care centre, neighbourhood shops and cafes/restaurants to provide much needed local services for the existing and new residents in the Pagewood locality.
The project is currently under construction and will have a positive transformative impact on the local community.
“Urbis successfully navigated through a range of complex site contraints to secure approval for an innovative design outcome with high quality architecture and landscape design.
