Urbis is helping BridgeHill Group realise their vision for a high-quality, mixed use development on the site of the former Waverley and Woollahra Council depot, located between Botany Road, and Portman Street in Zetland.
BridgeHill identified Urbis to assist with the planning due diligence for the acquisition of this key site in the Green Square town centre, and we have carried through to advice on the planning framework, infrastructure delivery, green infrastructure requirements, the selection of architectural concepts through the City of Sydney’s competitive design processes, and development approvals for 780 units with neighbourhood retail spaces.
Green Square is undergoing significant transformation from its industrial past into a vibrant new urban centre, and the project will be an important residential, retail, commercial, and cultural hub of the community.
The BridgeHill development is spread across four development parcels. Urbis prepared the design excellence strategy that was endorsed by the City of Sydney, and introduced established and emerging architectural firms SJB Architects, MNH Design Union, Neeson Murcutt and Sissins McNally Architects.
“The diversity of architectural responses as a result of the City of Sydney’s competitive design process will make a positive contribution to the Green Square town centre.
