Naomi Ryan brings a passion for sustainable development that contributes to shaping our growing regional cities.

Naomi is most engaged in working on complex large-scale projects which are community focused and environmentally minded.

She demonstrates technical excellence and a strong eye for detail, which is reflected in her ability to navigate complex planning issues and approval pathways.

Naomi can guide clients through the planning process with an appreciation for both the client’s commercial drivers and the consent bodies expectations, given her experience in both the public and private section.

Her experience includes leading the management of design competitions and securing a variety of large-scale approvals across Sydney and Newcastle.

Naomi’s project experience: 

  • Broadmeadow Place Strategy – Project managed design focused future strategy for Broadmeadow catalyst area on behalf of City of Newcastle.
  • Stage 3 & 4, East End – Key planning advisor and competition manager for East End, which is one of the largest revitalisation projects in Newcastle on behalf of Iris.
  • Schools Infrastructure NSW – Preparation of planning advice and planning reports facilitating the redevelopment of 7 schools across Western Sydney and Wollongong
  • Sydney Olympic Park Over Station Development – Lead the preparation of a complex EIS for Sydney Metro.
    711 Hunter Street, Newcastle West – Lead the first local design competition for Newcastle for a mixed-use development on behalf of St Hilliers Property
