Les is a career long social impact professional and is recognised as an expert in social planning, social infrastructure, strategy development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and social impact measurement.

He focuses on social value creation and community impact related to social infrastructure, residential, commercial, renewable energy, mixed development, and industrial.

Les is also an expert and advisor in relation to Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) and sustainability in the context of development and capital investment.

He has over 35 years’ experience across advisory consultancy, academia, and social enterprise, and has worked extensively across social and affordable housing, disability, aged care, health, community services and education.

Some of Les’ project experience: 

  • Wide range of social infrastructure and social impact assessments including senior living, residential, commercial, mixed use, and industrial.
  • Development of assessment criteria for investments using the ESG framework.
  • Development of a model to assess the social value created by residential, commercial and retain developments.
  • Advisor on realigning senior living strategy to the core mission of a faith-based organisation.
  • Lead advisor on the first tranche of the NSW Social and Affordable Housing Fund including developing the overall concept, design principles, and contract and operational parameters.
  • Strategic Advisor for a range of social benefit bonds that attract private capital to deliver sustained social outcomes.
