In Melbourne, the key trends:
- significant reductions in contiguous options available across the majority of Melbourne precincts and quality grades
- the headline trend in the CBD has been for substantially fewer contiguous options, particularly across A Grade quality space, reflecting the largest decline in any grade or market in the study
- the Fringe market is relatively constrained overall, with the only notable availability options restricted to secondary quality space
- following an increase over successive studies, the Suburban market has also posted a reduction in contiguous options available, despite the likelihood of obsolete stock continuing to weigh down the outer suburban sector.
