Our female leader sponsorship program, SOAR, has concluded for 2024. This marks another successful year of fostering growth and development among Urbis and Cistri’s emerging female talent.
The wrap-up event, held in Sydney, was met with enthusiastic feedback from all protégés, highlighting the program’s impact on their professional journeys. The event focused on several key themes, including:
- advancing in leadership while remaining authentic,
- overcoming limiting beliefs, and
- recognising that success is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ concept.
These themes were explored through a series of engaging sessions and workshops designed to inspire and empower the participants.
“The SOAR program focuses on investing in making strides to grow and develop our female talent. It is designed to empower our women to progress in their careers by giving them a safe environment to explore their goals and reach their potential.

Urbis CEO Ben Pollack hosted an intimate session in which he shared insights from his own leadership journey. Ben discussed the qualities he seeks in Directors and offered his perspective on how the business is supporting part-time employees with career development and creating a family friendly workplace.
Following this, a panel discussion hosted by Katie Tatoulis featured Dianne Knott, Sara Pratt, and Poppy Wise, who shared their expertise on building a strong client portfolio. Their insights and experiences offered practical advice and strategies for all participants to apply within their own careers.
The protégés also had the unique opportunity to present their personal pitches to numerous leaders within the business. Each participant spoke for three minutes about their passions, unique contributions to Urbis, and future ambitions. This exercise not only showcased their individual strengths but also allowed them to receive constructive feedback from seasoned professionals.
