Urbis is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Managing Partner, Tim Blythe. Tim will take up the position on 1 July 2017.

A skilled and strategic planner, Tim is recognised as a leading voice and practitioner in Australia. His wide-ranging experience includes city-shaping projects such as AMP Capital’s Quay Quarter Sydney, Macquarie Centre and Wanda One Sydney, which are set to change the face of Sydney.

As well as delivering transformational client projects, Tim has proven leadership credentials as a current member of the Urbis Board and former Sydney Regional Director.

Urbis Chief Executive Officer Ben Pollack said: “During his 18-year tenure at Urbis, Tim has always displayed the highest standards of leadership, helping to foster a collaborative and client-centric culture. This has been critical to the firm’s growth and the establishment of our international business, Cistri, based in Singapore.

Commenting on his appointment, Tim said: “I’m honoured to be taking on the role of Managing Partner. I am deeply passionate about Urbis and the role we play in helping clients face and navigate the opportunities and complexities associated with the growth of cities and their communities.

Tim succeeds current Managing Partner John Wynne, who moves into a new role as National Director of Planning.

Ben added, “On behalf of everyone at Urbis, I’d like to thank John for his exceptional leadership over the last six years as Managing Partner. He has made, and continues to make, a phenomenal contribution to the growth, culture and standing of Urbis.

“Anyone who has worked with John can attest to his unwavering energy, creativity and collaborative approach which embodies our One Urbis culture. As National Director of Planning, he’ll continue to nurture this culture and deliver fantastic city and community shaping projects.”
