Creating future-ready transport systems that connect people and places, while effectively moving all forms of traffic has a growing need within our business and community.

Embedding strategic transport planning into communities is regarded as the backbone of our cites. Without efficient, well-planned and sustainable transport and traffic solutions, our cities cannot thrive.

Understanding this vital component in shaping cities, Urbis is excited to announce the expansion of our national transport advisory capability and welcomes Director Karen McNatty to lead our New South Wales team.

Karen will help build upon our strong industry presence in NSW while working alongside Andy Johnston who leads our Queensland transport team and Manesha Ravji, Victorian transport lead, to deliver effective solutions to clients nationally.

Bringing over 20 years of experience, Karen is a seasoned transport engineer and planner with a track record of advising both private and public sector clients on a range of significant projects. Her pervious project experience as the transport lead includes Central Coast Quarter development in Gosford, John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct and New Maitland Hospital.

“I’m excited to join Urbis to work with clients on the delivery of transport strategies and sustainable transport solutions that will support better outcomes in our cities.

“The evaluation of how people move through a community is some of the first planning to occur. It is a critical component of implementation and establishes a shared vision for our clients while realising outcomes for all stakeholders,” McNatty said.

Group Director of Planning, Ashley Lane said transport advisory is a vital part of the projects we work on at Urbis.

“Australia’s ability to unlock housing supply and other critical development is dependent on effective transport infrastructure. Our expanding transport advisory team led by Karen, Andy and Manesha will ensure that strategic and practical transport solutions are embedded within the development outcomes, ultimately leading to better outcomes for our cities and communities,” Lane said.

Urbis’ national expansion of transport advisory services will ensure our clients benefit from integrated transport solutions from the outset through the delivery of strategic transport planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling and forecasting, travel demand modelling, feasibility studies and green travel planning.
